NBCF offers continuing education on the early detection of breast cancer to individuals, corporations, and organizations. NBCF places a special emphasis on reaching low-income, minority, and working-poor women whose awareness of breast cancer and opportunity for help is often limited. They provide free to low-cost mammography screenings and educational programs for women in need. NBCF does not make grants for mammograms directly to individuals. They give grants through designated programs for homeless, battered, and low-income women in inner city neighborhoods.
